Black Swan - review

Switch off your sensible side as well as don’t think that you are going to watch a ballet documentary. You will understand the movie only if you let the main character get into you, makes you feel impulsive, emotional and paranoid.
Nina (Natalie Portman) is a young dancer with the Ballet who is preparing for a production of Swan Lake. Witnessing the intensifying pressure on her is like watching the wings being slowly crumpled on a butterfly. This, and the filming of Nina’s self-harm in pursuit of perfection, made me feel steadily queasy rather than gripped.
Watch: DVD (if you are a typical bollywood fan like me, then this movie is not for you)
Rating: 3 out of 5 stars
